 The
PdfCrypter main window is divided into three areas:
Source Documents
All the PDF documents to be encrypted are managed here
Specify encryption profile
Here you select the profile to be used for the encryption
of your documents.
Output directory and execution
You can specify here where the encrypted document is to be
saved. To begin encryption, click on Start or press F9.

Outlook plugin |
 PdfCrypter
integrates seamlessly into Outlook. In the main window of Outlook
you will find an additional toolbar following installation.
This toolbar allows you to activate and deactivate the PdfCrypter.
In addition, the encryption profiles can be selected managed
and created here. A default profile can also be defined.

| Outlook
transmission confirmation |
 For
additional safety, a window appears prior to transmission showing
information on the current encryption. The profile to be used
can be changed via this window. A detailed list of the restricted
rights for each profile is also shown in this window.
The message window can be deactivated in the PdfCrypter Outlook
AddIn settings.

 On
request, the PdfCrypter monitors directories and performs certain
actions when new PDF documents are saved there. Specify directories
which are to be monitored by the PdfCrypter in the settings.
As soon as a new document is saved in one of these folders,
PdfCrypter encrypts the contents using the options determined
in the relevant profile.
Moreover, you can define what should happen with the original
file following encryption.

PdfCrypter allows the encryption depth of the document earmarked
for processing to be adapted.
The following modes are available:
- Compatibility to the selected document
- Adaptation to Acrobat 5
- Adaptation to Acrobat 6
- Highest encryption depth
